The challenge
Culford school, a boarding school set in 480 acres of beautiful Suffolk parkland, wanted to improve lighting across the estate and revitalise key areas of the main building. It was also imperative that all works carried out were done with minimal disruption to the teachers and pupils
The solution
By partnering with eEnergy , an LED upgrade was done on a phased basis, bringing light to all areas of the building with as little impact as possible to the school environment. The overall solution provides improved lighting levels across the site, with the key areas averaging between a 50-70% increase in brightness, however, there are some areas achieving a whopping 350% increase in lux levels.
All schools are under significant pressure to reduce costs. It is not often that we can do that while improving the learning environment for our students. Our partnership with eEnergy is now delivering real benefits for our school.
