1. Funding & Financial Models

What funding options does eEnergy offer?

We offer Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS), Operating Lease, Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and traditional CapEx. These options are flexible, fast to deploy, and sit off balance sheet—ideal for public and private sector organisations alike.

What is Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS)?

EaaS is a fully funded, fixed-term service agreement. We fund, design, install and maintain the solution, and you pay a monthly fee covered by your energy savings. It’s fast, budget-neutral, and performance guaranteed.

Q: What is an Operating Lease?

A lease-to-use model with fixed monthly costs. You benefit from the system without owning it, and we take care of maintenance and performance.

Q: Why focus on EaaS and Operating Lease over PPA?

PPA contracts are solar-only, legally complex, and typically 15–25 years long. EaaS and Operating Lease are faster to deploy, multi-technology, and more flexible—ideal for organisations that value speed and agility.

Q: Are these funding models off balance sheet?

Yes. Our EaaS funding is structured to comply with IFRS 16 and sit off balance sheet for both public and private sector clients.

Q: Who provides the funding?

We’ve secured £100 million through Redaptive and £40 million through NatWest to fund projects across education, healthcare, commercial, and public sector estates.

Q: What happens at the end of the contract?

At the end of your service term—typically around 10 years—we can explore an upgrade to the latest technology or continue with a low-cost maintenance plan for the existing system.

Testimonial

We’ve never had so many positive comments about contractors going into schools before. Pupils and teachers leave at the end of their school day and then magically the next morning the lights are brighter, the area is just as clean and they’re in a nicer learning environment. We were really happy with the turnkey solution and the finance model.

2. LED Lighting Solutions

What’s included in your LED lighting service?

We manage everything: survey, design, specification, installation, controls integration, and aftercare. We ensure the right light levels, lowest lifetime cost, and minimal disruption.

What kind of warranty is included?

We offer up to 10-year warranties on equipment and workmanship, with full maintenance and fault resolution included as part of the service.

Q: Can work be carried out during term time or operational hours?

Yes. Our team can work evenings, weekends, or school holidays to suit your schedule and minimise disruption.

3. Solar PV & SolarLife Protect

Q: What types of solar do you install?

We design and install rooftop, carport, and ground-mount solar systems—customised for your site and energy needs.

Q: What is SolarLife Protect?

It’s our solar operations and maintenance service, available in three tiers—Core, Plus, and Pro. It covers performance monitoring, inspections, cleaning alerts, fault diagnostics, and yield protection.

Q: What’s included in each SolarLife Protect tier?
  • Core: Live AI-powered monitoring, fault alerts, remote diagnostics
  • Plus: Adds drone inspections, cleaning alerts, and annual performance checks
  • Pro: Includes robotic cleaning, yield loss cover, business interruption insurance, and warranty claim handling

Q: How does SolarLife Protect benefit me?

It keeps your system performing at its best, maximises returns, and protects against downtime or unexpected failures—all with full transparency and reporting.

Q: What’s the difference between rooftop, carport, and ground-mount systems?
  • Rooftop: Ideal for schools, warehouses, and office buildings with suitable roof space
  • Carport: Generates energy while providing shaded parking—great for campuses, retail, and healthcare sites
  • Ground-mount: Perfect for large open spaces where roof or parking capacity is limited

Q: Can I fund solar with EaaS or Operating Lease?

Yes. Both options are available for solar installations and offer a faster, more flexible alternative to long-term PPA models.
