Testimonial
Working with eEnergy was a dream; from start to finish the project has been amazing. If there were any issues, we didn’t know about them – the whole process was smooth. Mike, our project manager, was great, and we cannot fault any aspect of the project

Generating clean energy with solar PV
The High School of Glasgow is the oldest school in Scotland, originally established as the choir school of Glasgow Cathedral. Today, it is one of Scotland’s leading independent schools, educating over 1,000 boys and girls aged 3 to 18. The school previously installed LED lighting with eEnergy and sought solar PV as the next step on their energy efficiency journey.
The Challenge.
Installing solar PV offered attractive potential cost and carbon savings, but the school needed a trusted partner. The school needed a turnkey solution with ongoing maintenance and support. Having delivered a successful LED upgrade, eEnergy was the natural fit.
The Solution.
eEnergy’s expert solar team delivered a turnkey solution, managing the design, procurement, and installation of high-quality solar PV technology. The 178.36 kWp system comprises 392 roof-mounted solar panels at the Senior School site in Anniesland.
An enhanced-DBS checked team carried out an investment-grade survey to ensure the subsequent system was properly sized for site needs and consumption. The design team adhered to all regulatory compliance regarding positioning of the solar PV arrays, whilst considering shading and roof orientation to maximise yields. The system avoided roof furniture, man-safes and Velux windows while offering a balance between self-consumption and headroom for future demand.
The installation team managed all aspects of installation and commissioning, while minimising disruption to the school’s operations.
A comprehensive ongoing maintenance package ensures the solar system remains hassle-free. Ongoing support includes daily system monitoring, monthly performance reporting, full warranty, call out and a performance guarantee, together with an annual report.
The Results.
The deployment of solar PV is forecast to deliver transformational benefits for the High School, enabling them to generate their own clean energy and reduce reliance on purchasing expensive energy from the grid. The project significantly cuts energy costs and carbon emissions.
