Pioneering sustainable energy solutions for the property sector

Introduction.

Brown & Co, a leading provider of agency, professional, and consultancy services across rural, commercial, and residential property, agriculture, and the environment, sought to minimise their energy costs while transitioning to zero carbon energy solutions.

eAuction online marketplace.

eEnergy facilitated an eAuction through its online marketplace for Brown & Co’s zero carbon energy requirements. The auction featured 15 energy suppliers, offering a diverse range of zero carbon energy options, including renewable electricity with REGO offsets, nuclear energy, and fossil fuel-sourced energy with carbon credit offsets.

The selection and results.

After evaluating the zero carbon energy offers and their price differences, Brown & Co chose EDF Energy Blue (nuclear) for their electricity supply and Crown Gas and Power for their gas. eEnergy utilised their Zero Carbon Project to neutralise Brown & Co’s carbon emissions by purchasing and surrendering UN certified carbon permits at no additional cost.

Through this initiative, Brown & Co offset all 80 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions over the duration of the energy supply contracts and earned 13,137 Zero Carbon Coin token rewards for their climate change efforts. The auction resulted in a 25% reduction in Brown & Co’s previous gas costs while transitioning to zero carbon energy, primarily attributed to the competitive intensity of the auction process.

Conclusion.

Brown & Co’s partnership with eEnergy highlights their commitment to building a sustainable future. By embracing zero carbon energy solutions and significantly reducing their energy costs, Brown & Co serves as an inspiration for the property sector to follow suit and prioritise environmental responsibility.

Brown & Co. testimonial

“I’d previously worked with eEnergy at another company and I knew they could be trusted to ensure we had the project delivered on time. The team was very professional, polite and easy to work with. Now eEnergy is on our supplier list, I’m sure we’ll use them for future lighting upgrade projects.”
